I sense something more sinister here than a software release. Some kind of mass oppression of the People by those who would manipulate them. Much to ponder here.

Another layered piece. Neat to read another take on the critical mass of information technology. The way you craft a sense that her ‘ranking’ is important for survival generates tension here.

‘Sleep was for the People. She had no sympathy. They chose lives of texture and pain. She was forced to contribute to sustain them, but the People never held her interest.’

Loved the ambivalence of this section.
